This pen has a ring to indicate what grade of lead is installed. The ring is manually set. Simply unscrew the barrel and rotate the ring to indicate which type of lead is installed.
The lead collar chuck allows for positioning the lead to any position. Click the pen to release the collar and adjust the lead to your preference. Or, holding the pen sideways at a slight downward angle, you can dispense a small amount of lead with a quick click.
Click the pen down all the way, tip the point up and the lead will retract all the way into the pen. Release and the pen tip will fully retract into the pen housing.
